5 Misconceptions People Have About Programming !!

1) Programming is boring !! ☹️

It's not true at all if you love to programme. At the heart of programming is problem-solving. It's like being tasked with finding the solution to a logic puzzle, with the additional satisfaction of knowing that you might be the first person to put these puzzle pieces together in this particular way. When it all comes together and works exactly how you wanted it, then you'll be far from bored.

2) You have to be a Master at Math If you Want to Code !!

It's the biggest misconception people generally have about the programmer.

You don't need to be a mathematics expert to apply basic logic. It's important to be able to think logically and work through a problem step-by-step and methodically. If you're someone who is patient and who puts the best effort to work for the problem and find an answer, then you may well turn out to be a good programmer no matter what your IQ is.

In short, Programming is the best exercise to build your logic. and I myself have experienced it thoroughly.

3) You are a bad programmer if you can't code everything by yourself

Most of us start learning to programme from "hello, world!''. But in this process of learning to code If you just copy & paste someone else's programme to compile and then run successfully then in that's it doesn't seem that you would be able to learn anything.

It is 100% fair if you are able to understand 40-60% part of the code or logic of the code but not able to get the remaining part and you are seeking help from some expert programmer or just copying that some lines of the code and trying to get the logic of that part. In this way, you are learning anyway.

Because at the beginning part of the learning most of the times you'll never be able to get the complete logic of the program completely by yourself. so, it's always fine to understand it through someone else's code.

Also if you are doing a job, then it's not at all necessary to write the whole code by self Because at that point your primary focus is to solve the problems by writing code. so, in that case, it's fair enough take someone's code and put that in your code. because your primary focus is to solve the problem given to you and not to learn how to code.

4) Programmers are Anti-Social Humans !!

Most of the people have an image of the programmer as who has headphone on ears. a cup of coffee on his table and sitting in front of computer screen whole the time ...!!!

If you are one of those who thinks the same about the programmer. then I must say that you are wrong. A programmer is also a social insect. We also deal with people for discussion of problem-solving. We also have to talk to managers, project head, our fellow programmers and all sort of people. and we also have friends.

In fact, Working together with other programmers is the best way to write better programmes.

5) You have to go to University in order to Learn Programming.

Majority of the people who are aspiring to learn to code would have these types of thoughts. even I thought the same when I was 13. So, I just focused on studying School Subjects (i.e. Maths, Social-Science, English, and the list goes on...) which everyone knows that they are not going to be that much of help in your life except they just increase your memorizing power (Ratta Marne ki Capacity).

And Because of we have in depth of our mind that gut feeling that I would not be able to learn to programme because I'm just a kid and I would be miserable at coding and what not.

You know what, the best way to Master the Programming Skill is to learn it by your self and get your hands dirty by coding extensively.  Because in that way you'll learn by the "Try and Fail Rule". and also nowadays there are so many resources (free) are available on the internet that it'll need a whole life to complete them.

So, without thinking further about university just start learning to code now.

And for your ease, I've mentioned here some of the good youtube channels I've personally found best to learn to programme:-

0. thenewboston (English)1. Derek Banas (English)2. MySirg by Saurabh Shukla (Best for Hindi Tutorials)3. Telusko Learning by Navin Reddy (Best to Learn Java)

So, without wasting your time, just sit and start coding now...

Good Luck !!!
